Morning orchard walks have become a regular part of our schedule. We race to wind machines, chase the sprinkler water trying "not" to get wet, throw rocks and weeds in the ditch water and see how long we can keep up with them sprinting along side the bank, and have an all around good time. Someone is bound to fall (usually Colton) in the mud or along the rock path and get a little scrape. Adysen usually walks ahead of Colton and I exploring independently, picking and blowing dandilions, and Colton usually asks millions of questions about orchard equipment and whatever he can spy in the orchard. He collects treasures along the way, usually a variety of sticks. Mason hangs out in the baby carrier checking everyone out and by the end of our "hike" the fresh air usually helps slip him in to his morning nap. As we get back to the house I can always count on Colton saying "I want to go on a hike again mama!" Feeling pretty blessed to have this beautiful place in my back yard (literally).
